WELCOME TO THE TORONTO HIKING CLUB! JOIN US FOR WEEKLY SCENIC HIKING TRIPS We will introduce you to the most scenic places in the vicinity of Toronto. All our trips include a 2 - 3 hour hike through an uneven scenic terrain at a leasurely pace, followed by a picnic. Please have a snack and coffee/tea in the backpack with you. And, of course, do not forget a camera! This is an excellent opportunity to get together, acquire new friends, and have fun. EACH trip. In consideration of the Toronto Hiking Club permitting me to participate in outdoor activities, I agree to release and discharge and indemnify and save harmless the Club, its directors, and employees from and against all claims or proceedings by whomsoever made or brought, in respect of any costs, losses, damage or injury arising by reason of my participation in such activities, or by reason of the provision of medical care to me. I further authorize Toronto Hiking Club to obtain such medical care to me, as it may deem necessary in the event of injury or otherwise, and agree to pay for all expenses incurred thereby. I have read the conditions of participation and agree to abide by what is outlined. WARNING! APPROPRIATE HIKING SHOES MUST BE WORN DURING ALL HIKING ACTIVITIES. THERE ARE NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED DURING ALL CLUB ACTIVITIES. Detailed directions to the meetup location will be sent to you by e-mail after registration. Please read the directions attentively, print them out and have them with you in the car! The registration fee is not refundable unless we cancel a trip (e.g., because of inclement weather). We do not provide transportation to the meetup. If you have a car and would like to take passengers, please place your carpool offer on the meetup group message board. Do not forget to specify how many passengers you would like to take and a major intersection/subway station from where you are willing to take passengers. Please do not hesitate to contact group members who already posted a carpool request on the message board. If you do not have a car, please place your carpool request on the meetup group message board - other trip participants with a car may want to take passengers. Do not forget to specify how many seats you need in the car and a major intersection/subway station where you are willing to travel to meet the driver.
